I live in the United States and this is currently the only hitbox conversion kit available. Here, you will find a repository of Adobe Photoshop templates that are used to submit artwork or etch graphics to FA Plexworks. This kit is great, it's a perfect fit into my Obsidian. Small advice for people with bad memory too, take a picture of the wiring so you know where to connect them when reconnecting everything it saves time having to run input tests to make sure things are in there right! The conversion kit fits perfectly in the Qanba Obsidian, removing the old plexiglass and plate to screw the new ones in is very easy, and as long as you have the wire harness and correct button size, you shouldn't have any real issue assembling the new parts and getting things working. You will have to cut away a bit of plastic inside the Obsidian in order to install the 30mm button, though. Everything else involves simple screwing.Įasy to install, fits well. Don't strip the stick screw and use a proper sized flathead. Use pliers to pull out quick disconnects. By doing so, the ground wire will make more sense on which one to plug in first. Connect the crown harness in this sequence: left, down, right, up inputs. Be generous with the cut on your Obsidian because you want screw-in buttons to fit. Take a picture of the wires for reference. If you're from Toronto as well, order shipping through DHL Express. Product received in Toronto after only 3 days of shipping announcement. (I don't know if this is an issue on the Obsidian) I was able to remove it with a saw, but it's worth knowing if you plan to convert a Pearl. The plate feels rigid and works perfectly, but there was a piece of plastic of the frame in the way of the hole for the up button. 4 Works well, small compatibility issue with Pearl.Nice easy conversion kit for swapping lever to all buttons on Qanba Obsidian Just be aware that you have to manually remove (cut/chip/sand/file/etc.) some plastic inside of the case so that the right side of the 30mm button can fit! You do not need power tools and can just use some pliers+sandpaper easily. I bought this kit to convert my Obsidian into the "HitBox" layout. Another advantage would be less wrist movement required, compared to using a joystick. The biggest advantage of a hitbox is speed and accuracy, compared to a normal fightstick. A combination of fingers will execute moves during gameplay quicker. For anyone that has played fighting games on a PC using a keyboard, this will seem quite easy to do, whilst other people may find this a bit more challenging at first and it may take a bit of practice to get used to playing games without a joystick. The best way is to think of this as a keyboard. Hitbox controllers are similar to fightsticks, but they use all buttons instead of a joystick. You will require 11 x 24mm buttons and 1 x 30mm button for the Hitbox conversion To remove this, simply peel it up from one of the corners and remove from both sides. This is to help prevent scratching/damage during transit. There is a protective film on both sides of the plexi. Step 5: Install new buttons (11 x 24mm and 1 x 30mm) Step 4: Replace with the new Hitbox plate and plexi. Step 3: Please Note: You WILL need to file away some of the plastic housing directly underneath the metal panel where the 30mm button will mount. Step 2: Remove the plexi and metal plate. Step 1: Simply remove the joystick and buttons from your Obsidian. Installation of the plexi & metal base plate is easy.
